Review by Gary Wildman

Greetings from Toronto, Canada. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for The Who and the impact their music has had on my life. My journey with the band live began on December 4, 1979—the night after the Cincinnati tragedy—when I attended my very first concert. That experience marked the beginning of an incredible adventure, as I have since attended 39 concerts, each one filled with unforgettable memories.

This past Tuesday at the Budweiser Stage, I had the privilege of sharing another Who live masterpiece performance with my 17-year-old son, Aidan. Witnessing the band was truly unforgettable, and it conjured up so many memories. From listening to The Who on the way home from the hospital after my children were born, to having "Love Reign O'er Me" featured at my wedding—a moment that surprised and delighted everyone in attendance.

Thank you for continuing to inspire fans like myself, and for creating music that connects generations. I am deeply grateful for these memories.

Review by Michael Hanley

Hello. I am Michael and i am a Who addict, just like all of you. I saw Tuesday night's show in Toronto and I'm going again Thursday. Shows 26 and 27, counting solo tours. I was looking forward to the show but in the back of my mind is that little nagging feeling that they are past it. For reference, my mother is 90 and pretty much bed ridden. I have been preparing myself, like i did in 1982, when after December 17th, there was no more Who. Only this time it will be permanent. So how could an 81 year old and 80 year old carry a show under the heavy Who mantle? Well, 3 words: They did it.

Starting with Canadian legend Tom Cochrane's fine opening set where he played his solo hits and Red Rider successes, including some with Rush's Alex Leifson, it was time.

The first couple of songs, while good, were medium energy, in terms of Who shows, but as they kept going, I felt they started to take off. Jon Button on bass was excellent. I could actually hear the bass. Scott's drumming was solid and a good sound level. Simon is always stellar. I loved seeing Jody behind Pete banging away on a variety of instruments! There was another guy, I'm not sure what he did, and I didn't catch his name, but he didn't detract from the event.

There were a couple of unexpected highlights for me:

My Generation. For the last 20 years I've felt MG was limp. Never captured the raw urgency of the record. Scott provided a slightly faster tempo and intensity which made the song leap to life again. Then Roger mixed Cry If You Want into the extended jam and it was excellent. I'd love to hear that again! Oh wait, I might tomorrow night. lol. Fingers crossed.

Another highlight, Roger's vocals were strong, and he nailed LROM's "love" at the end. Even Pete commented on it after the song. 81 and crushing it. Wow.

Pete was excellent as usual. Simon takes some of the tougher bits but always leaves room for Pete to shine. I think one of his peddles has an electrical short. At least 10 times over the night there was a thump, sounding like someone hitting a microphone. I believe it was when Pete stepped on the peddle to his right. It didn't affect the songs, but obviously shouldn't be there.

In the goodbyes, Pete indicated yes, this was the last time they would tour as The Who, but they could be back "in disguises". I would love to see another Pete solo tour like Psychoderelict in 93. Massey Hall was amazing and still in my top 5 shows of all time.

And yes, they are 81 and 80, but 90 and bed ridden seems to be a long way away for these two. I'm now looking forward to concert number 28.
