Review by Pat Stanton

The concert on Friday in Glasgow was very similar to the show in Manchester on Wednesday. One difference was the addition of an encore, although they did not leave the stage and come back so better called a bonus. It was a rousing rendition of the short version of 5:15.

Roger had problems with his back early in the show, with his assistant Gordon coming on stage in the shadows to try to stretch it out. Regardless of the issues/pain, he still gave a masterful performance and it did not have an impact on his voice.

Pete was in good spirits and both repeatedly said how much they love playing in Glasgow. Pete said he didn't care how they voted in the future.

The set list seems to now be stabilized with Christmas a centerpiece of the Tommy set. Pete continues to have a mental block on the beginning of 1921, not singing the second line as he wrote it (especially if you and me see it in together) but going to the next verse and trying to fit it into the same space. Roger laughes each time he does it which ticks off Pete.

There was not much banter as they went from song to song. Pete did dedicate My Generation to anyone under 65. Leaves me out. Roger pointed to the screen during the song and said "that's my Generation" and laughed.

Other than my personal favorite, Love Reign, the Tommy set keeps getting better and better. I wish that they would add more from the opera.

The band sounds terrific together, Too bad there are only 2 more shows as they are hitting a groove.
