The Who have announced the sad news that they have cancelled their UK and Ireland shows that were scheduled for March 2021, including their Teenage Cancer Trust charity show at the Royal Albert Hall. The tour dates were originally slated for March 2020 as part of the Moving On tour, but had to be postponed when the Coronavirus pandemic hit last year. They are unable to perform the shows due to the ongoing restrictions on live events and were unable to reschedule the tour. Ticket refunds will be issued from the point of purchase.
Here is the official statement.
“We are very sorry that we have to cancel our planned March 2021 UK and Ireland shows. Please excuse the delay but we wanted to wait as long as possible to see if we could indeed play them. However, as you can see the current situation makes this impossible. Thanks for all your wonderful support and we hope to see you in the future when conditions allow.” ~ Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, 15 February 2021
